J. J. "Jeff" Crocker, 64, native Nashvillian and employee of the American Railway Express Co. in the local office for many years, died yesterday in Corpus Christi, Texas of a heart attack. Funeral services will be Saturday in Corpus Christi, followed by burial there, according to word received by members of the family here.

Mr. Crocker, who had retired three years ago was an agent of the American Railway Express after having worked for the company since he was about 18 years old. He had moved at that time [three years ago] to Corpus Christi to make his home with a daughter, Mrs. Neil Scruggs.

He was a son of William Crocker and the former Miss Ella Jennings, both of this city, and attended the Nashville schools. He was married to the former Miss Ida Campbell, who survives.

In addition to his wife and his daughter, he is survived by three sons, William, Charles, and John Crocker, all of Corpus Christi; three sisters, Mrs. J. C. Jared and Mrs. J. H. Puller of Nashville, and Mrs. C. J. Laubheimer of Tampa, Fla., and a brother, Isham G. Crocker of Flint, Mich.
