As many of you know my Dad Lt Frederick C Stone passed away last night at about 11:50pm at the Gulf Coast Medical Center in Fort Myers, Fl. Dad will be cremated and his Memorial will be at the Winkler Road Baptist Church located at 5770 Winkler Rd Fort Myers, Fl 33919. Paster Donald Strange. Tuesday February 21, 2017 at 2pm.
My step mother Janis also wanted me to share my daughter MandiLee's post on his last moments, since she believes it was said best;
MandiLee's POST as follows;
.I haven't had a chance tell many people outside of immediate family, but I am now in Fort Meyers in the hospital with my grandparents. My grandfather came in earlier in the week to get a heart procedure done. He had fluid build up in his lungs and until they could get that down they could not do the procedure. This morning his kidneys failed. They could not get them back to working. While he was still cognizant, my grandfather made the decision to not stay on life support. We did not know until we got here this evening that the hospital was just waiting on my mom to arrive to begin comfort measures. He is currently on a 3 mg/hour morphine drip that they will gradually increase. Once he reaches a comfortable level they will remove the other meds and things.
Dad passed away with me holding his right hand and Janis holding his left. he went to meet his maker peacefully.
