John O. Graham was the son of Walter Graham and Agnes Ormiston. He was the middle child of five siblings. His middle name was obviously his mother's maiden name. John and Catherine would give that middle name to two of their children as well. Their son Gavin named his son John Ormiston Graham (born 1922 in Alberta, Canada) in his late father's honor.
Mr. Graham was a master joiner (carpenter). John and his wife raised their eight children in Edinburgh.
