Guy, age 27 and an accountant, traveled alone aboard the Columbia departing from Glasgow, Scotland October 12, 1912 and arriving in the United States on October 21st at Ellis Island. After passing a physical examination, declaring he wasn't a criminal, a polygamist or an anarchist and with only $300 in his pocket he was allowed to remain in the country.

He reportedly was headed to his Uncle David Graham's residence in Arlington, South Dakota but it's not certain if he ever made that trip. He only remained in the United States until sometime in 1913 before heading to Alberta. Guy resided in the town of Okotoks and worked as a farmer. Why he chose that area to settle is currently unknown.

Mr. Graham, 35, married Marion Collison Duff, 19, on June the 18th 1921 at Derby, Connecticut. The newlyweds would honeymoon in the Canadian Rockies en route back to their Okotoks residence where they would start a family.

A few years later Guy decided to return to the United States with his wife and first son, John. The trio crossed at Montreal, on June 21, 1923, over the border to St. Albans, Vermont. This immigration record stated he had visited the U.S. in December of 1919 in the state of Connecticut. Was this when he met Marion?

A second son, Donald, was born in Batavia, New York. The family finally settled in Baldwinville, Massachusetts where son, Gavin "Ormie" and daughter, Marion would be born.

Graham became a naturalized U.S. citizen on September 26, 1938. He was a chairmaker at E. L. Thompson's factory in Baldwinville.
