NEWELL MCANALLY
Lehigh - Services for Newell McAnally, 83, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Carson Funeral Home, Dayton, with burial at West Lawn Cemetery, Lehigh, where military rites will be conducted by the Lehigh VFW Post. Mr. McAnally died Tuesday at Veterans Hospital, Des Moines.
Surviving are a son, Robert, Fort Dodge, and a sister, Mrs. Hazel Humphrey, Lehigh.
Mr. McAnally was born in Lehigh and attended the Lehigh schools. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I and was a self-employed carpenter in the Lehigh area. He married Mary Proprnick in Hampton, Iowa June 23, 1934 and they made their home in Lehigh. Mrs. McAnally died in 1966. For the past year Mr. McAnally resided at Friendship Haven, Fort Dodge.
He was a member of the McGuire Bend United Brethren Church.
