Fred Kosanke
Services for Fred W. Kosanke, 86, Rt. 2, Hebon, who died Saturday at Porter Memorial Hospital after a brief illness will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wetmore Funeral Home with the Rev. Eugene Rydling officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home today and until time of services Tuesday.
A World War I Army veteran, he was born in Wanatah, April 28, 1880 and was a farmer and resident of Porter County most of his life. In September 1937 in Valparaiso, he married Ruby Jesse who survives. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Wanatah and the Wilson-Rates American Legion Post 190 in Hebron.
Also surviving are two daughters, Barbara Benham and Mabel Lawrence of Valparaiso: a son, Freddie of Hebron: a sister, Dorothy Keeler of South Bend; 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
