Reid Ferrel Perkins, age 72, passed away Friday, March 24, 2017 in Yakima, Washington surrounded by family. He was born on December 11, 1944 in Montpelier, Idaho to Ira Ervan Perkins and Clara Mae Gerber. He was the youngest of 11 children. He attended school and graduated from Cokeville Wyoming. After high school, he was drafted into the United States Army. While in the Army he spent some time in Germany and a brief stay in Vietnam. After being honorably discharged from the Army he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad. He later met and married Linda Marie Woods. They had two sons together, Beman F. Perkins and Scott L. Perkins. They relocated to Pasco, WA where he worked for Tide Water, Twin City Metals and Ameri Gas from where he retired after 20 years, settling in Yakima, WA where he has resided since. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, jigsaw puzzles, model trains and spending time with good friends and family.

Reid is survived by his two sons and his three grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 10th at 2:00 pm at Brookside Funeral Home (500 W. Prospect, Moxee).
