Actor, Producer, Writer. He began his career with the Goldwyn company in the late 1910s and remained through its merger with Metro studios in 1924. In 1935 MGM started its short subject department, with Wilson as one of its major contributors. He produced several one and two-reel series, among them a group of films dealing with Nostradamus and his predictions. His feature productions include "The Postman Always Rings Twice" (1946). Wilson was one of the 36 founders of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He married actress Carmelita Geraghty in 1934.
