HERMAN ISCH
Funeral services for Herman Isch were conducted Tuesday afternoon from the Waggener & Campbell Chapel with the Rev. Karl Brevick, pastor of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment was made in the Conrad Memorial Cemetery with William Striet, Paul Striet, Roger Wends, Harry Isch, Burton Isch and Floyd Ridenour as pallbearers.
Herman Isch was born March 15, 1884, at West Bend, Iowa. He completed his schooling at Highland College, Des Moines, and on Dec. 14, 1911, was married to his wife, Hattie. A year later the family came to the Flathead where Mr. Isch engaged in farming in the Creston community until 1942 when they moved to Washington.
Mr. Isch was employed in the shipyards for a time, and had also operated a small fruit farm. In 1951 he retired and since that time had made his home at Bellingham, Wash., where he died Sept. 16 at the age of 77.
Mr. Isch was preceded in death by one son, Herman Jr.; two brothers, Alfred and August Isch; and one sister, Mrs. Josephine Frogner.
Surviving him are his wife, Hattie, at the family home in Bellingham; four daughters, Mrs. Harry (May) Stilwell of Goldendale, Ore., Mrs. Lloyd (Grace) LaBerg of Long Beach, Calif., Mrs. Wesley (Louise) DeYoung of Bigfork, Mrs. Wayne (Dorothy) Robins of Spokane; two brothers, Henry and Julius Isch, both of Kalispell; three sisters, Mrs. Lena Domek of Kalispell, Mrs. Emma Striet and Mrs. Eleanor Lohre, both of the Lower Valley; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
