Shannon was born on March 1, 1968 in Bloomington to Mary Lee Ranard.
Shannon graduated from Owen Valley High School with the class of 1986. She also attended Ivy Tech and studied criminal justice and nursing. Shannon was a CNA and has worked at nursing homes but always remained a waitress as she loved people and loved making people smile. She was currently a waitress at Olive Garden.
She was a woman of God. She loved horses and the country life. She loved mudding, fishing, 4-wheelers and swimming. She loved all animals, especially her dog Gunner.
Shannon was never judgmental, and helped anyone and everyone that she could. She had a huge heart. She loved George Strait and all types of music. She was very close with her children. She loved cooking, and welcomed anyone at her door. She also loved traveling and had a special love for Miami Beach.
Shannon is survived by her mother, Mary Lee Ranard, of Spencer; three children, Brittany Haltom of Gosport, Brandy Galindo-Garcia- Lewis of Bloomington, Dakota Meadows of Bloomington; one brother, Brian Ranard of Spencer; three grandchildren, Kaden Shrum, Amancio Galindo-Garcia and Joselyn Galindo-Garcia all of Gosport.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, “Gaga” Bessie Ranard and one daughter, Tracy Anna-Joe Meadows.
There will be a celebration of life at the Ellettsville House of Prayer, 4100 N Hartstrait Road, Bloomington, on March 23 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the family in care of House of Prayer.
