Mary is an Aunt of Ernest Michael McSorley (Ontario Canada, September 29, 1912 – November 10, 1975) , the Captain of the ship SS Edmund Fitzgerald an American Great Lakes freighter that sank in a Lake Superior storm on November 10, 1975, with the loss of the entire crew of 29.
