Funeral service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home where calling hours will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a,m, until service time Thursday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
East was born April 18, 1918 at Loretto, Tenn, the son of Benjamin and Lacey King East. He married Mable Hamm Nov. 9, 1946 and she survives. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Tennessee and was a World War II Army Veteran.
Surviving with his wife are three sons, Larry East of Austin, Barry East of Nashville, and Terry East at home; four daughters, Linda Schultz, Judy Wysocki, Patricia East and Kim Cody; one half brother, Harlan East; two half sisters, Betty Larson and Vera Crumpton; and 11 grandchildren.
