Obituary Gonzales Inquirer Mar. 18, 1902
Moses Carroll, a well known and good negro of this city, who has been employed by Mr. Kokernot for sometime, died yesterday evening at about 3 o'clock at his home in the colony. He had been sick about two weeks and his death was due to pneumonia. The funeral services will b held at the colored Baptist church this evening at 3:30 conducted by Reverends John Brooks and Jeff Dilworth, colored. The remains will be interred in the colored cemetery.
