The funeral of Martin Byrne was held at St. Mary's church Tuesday morning and interment was made in St. Mary's cemetery. Mr. Byrne died Sunday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Wilfred Abigail, 136 High street. He is survived also by two other daughters, Margaret, of Fairport, and Mrs. Peter DeClerck, of Rochester, and three grandchildren.
Mr. Byrne had been in failing health for several months. He was born in Kilkenny, Ireland, and came to this country as a young man about 60 years ago. For many years he acted as foreman on various railroad construction projects, including the Rochester State Railways, when they superseded the horse drawn cars.
He had been a resident of Fairport more than 40 years.
