Joyce was born on November 24, 1934 in Jones, County, Georgia to the late James and Minnie Wheeler. She was a paraprofessional at Pearl Stephens and Quail Run Elementary school and taught kindergarten at Central Baptist Church, which was her church home. Joyce also worked at Walmart and enjoyed time spent working in her yard.
Her beloved husband, Charlie L. Thwaites and sister, Betty Lou Hubby preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 in the chapel of McCullough Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. A committal service will follow at 3:00 p.m. in Middle Georgia Memory Gardens in Macon, Georgia.
The family will accept flowers or donations may be given in memory of Joyce Thwaites to Heart of Georgia Hospice, 103 Westridge Drive, Warner Robins, GA 30188 or the Central Baptist Church, 1120 Lake Joy Road, Warner Robins, Ga 31088.
