"FUNERAL OF CHILD WAS HELD IN COLUMBUS // The remains of little Bertha O'Neal FOSTER, the eight year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Silas S. FOSTER, whose death occurred in Nashville, Tenn., on the 22nd inst[ant = of the current months], reached Columbus Wednesday afternoon at 4:15 o'clock, and were carried to Linwood cemetery, where interment was had. Funeral services were held in Nashville. The father of the little girl was reared in Columbus and has many friends here who sympathize with him in his sad loss. The little girl was bright and interesting and gave promise of a Christian womanhood. Though but young, she had developed a fine character and was a constant attendant at her Sunday school." GANN (buried 28 FEB 1902, aged 82 years). Note that GANN's daughter Roxie GANN married 03 OCT 1887 in Muscogee County, Georgia, to Silas S. FOSTER.
