Evelyn was born in 1923, she was the only daughter to William & Annie Dickson, Evelyn had 6 brothers, Jim, Alec, Willie, Davy ( who sadly died young) Davy ( named after his younger brother) and Bobby. Evelyn was the last of the Dickson family and now they are all reunited.
Evelyn married Hugh Hamilton in 1946, after the war was over, and together they had 7 children, sadly 1 of her sons, Andrew Paul, lived only for a short time in 1965, but they are also reunited now. Evelyn's 6 surviving children graced her with 15 grandchildren, and they, in turn, graced her with 9 great grandchildren, and 2 on the way, to date, and surely more to come, she loved every one of them dearly, and was always glad when they came to visit.
She was a proud lady, especially when it came to her family, and her wit was just amazing and she passed it on to us all! I am proud to say she was my mum, and she will be missed by her family and friends, but never forgoten as we all have so many memories of her.
