FAMILY/RESEARCH NOTES:
John Barnett is found only in the 1850 Caldwell County, TX census. According to the census, John was born about 1822 in Alabama. Even though he is living with his parents, because of his age it is not surprising that he is found in the tax assessment records for 1849, 1850, 1852 owning cattle, hogs and a horse.
Joseph's will in 1867 & the probate record filed by Samuel McCarley in 1868 shows that John never married or had any heirs to the Joseph Barnett estate.
