In doing genealogy you often run into problems with people’s ages. A relative who had researched for years said sometimes it’s best to go with their age in the first census you find them. Sarah, also known as Elizabeth or Lizzie was listed as age 9 in the 1850 census for McDonald County,MO. living with Phillip and Rebecca Michael, possibly her maternal grandparents. In the 1900 she is listed as age 55 born in Feb. 1845 in MO. In the 1910 census for Shoshone Co, ID age 65 living with her son Joe Fithian. I have since found she married 9 June 1911 in Walla, Walla, WA at age 66 to Lee Smith. In the marrriage record it lists her father as Oliver Gildreth and her mother as Lucinda. in her death certificate it lists her father as James Gilbreith and her mother's maiden name as Boyd and her birth year is listed as 1844.
