(1940 - 2017)

Patricia E. Chizek, age 76, a Manitowoc resident, died Monday evening, March 27, 2017 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, after suffering a massive stroke.

Pat was born on July 28, 1940 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Arthur and Clara (Gollata) Terens. She attended St. Mary's parochial school and was a 1958 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. On August 8, 1959 she married her sweetheart, Liebert Chizek, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Pat enjoyed to do many things in her lifetime, including fishing, hunting, mushroom picking, gardening, and making polish sausage with her lifetime love, Lee. She spent time always taking care of others and being their support system. She did all the bookkeeping for Lee's business, Kress and Chizek, for 20 years. She enjoyed coffee clutches with her family and loved playing music on her piano. Lee and Pat would often sing duets together at jam sessions and in his Country Night Hawks Band. Pat always enjoyed joking around and playing Annie Oakley in her yard to keep critters out of her garden. Most of her time was spent outside enjoying her flower gardens and her vegetable garden. She volunteered with her sister, Diane Cisler, for various church charities.

Survivors include Patricia's one daughter: Cynthia and her husband Brian Wendt. Her daughter-in-law: Pamela Chizek and special friend Larry. Grandchildren: Tabby Chizek and special friend Troy Vogel, Tiffany (Levi) Dryja, Jamie, Adam, Tommy and Ashley Chizek, Molly Clare Hahn and Ryan Wendt. Great grandchildren: Dakota and Landon Chizek and Peyton Dryja. Her sisters and brother: Diane Cisler, Nancy & Charlie Rezachek, Iris & Chuck Denor, Karen Porodish, Gloria Thompson, Faye Terens and John & Tracey Terens. Also a brother-in-law: Carmen (Jean) Chizek. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive.Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Lee, of 55 years; her son: Dale Chizek; her mother-in-law and father-in-law: Alvina & Tony Chizek; a brother: Roger Terens; a sister: Marcia Terens; two brothers-in-law: Emil Cisler and Dennis Porodish; a sister-in-law: Janice Chizek; and Willie Bolden.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am. Monday, April 3, 2017 at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall (1114 S. 21st Street) Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. David Pleier. Following the service, entombment will take place at Knollwood Mausoleum, town of Kossuth.
