"Mary Elizabeth Isbell, 86, of Bangs, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at the Bangs Nursing Home in Bangs. She was born Mary Elizabeth Myers on June 27, 1930 in Estherwood, Louisiana to Ozon Myers and Julia Elizabeth LeJeune Myers. She grew up in Estherwood and attended school there. On July 3, 1946, she married Jack Oliver Isbell in Morse, Louisiana. Soon after their marriage, they moved to Texas. Mary was a very loving and giving person. Her full-time job was raising her four children. She was one of Jehovah's Witnesses.

"Survivors include four children, Denny Lee Isbell of Santa Fe, David Isbell and wife, Beverly, of Yucca Valley, California, Donald Paul Isbell and wife, Debbie, of Crowley, Louisiana, Mary Evelyn Isbell of Weatherford; one brother, Robert Meyers of Jennings, Louisiana; one granddaughter, Crystal Guerrero and husband, Chris, of Coleman; one great grandson, Jorge Jimenez, Jr., of Coleman and many other extended family members.

"Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, on June 5, 1995, two brothers and two sisters.

"Memorial services for Mary Elizabeth Isbell will be held Saturday April 29th at 1:00 p.m. at the Early Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 510 Lucas Drive, Early, Texas. A grave side service will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman."
