Mrs. Luther, 94, was the daughter of Fred and Clara Wessell Folmsbee. She was educated at the former Wessell Hill School in the Town of Root and was a lifelong resident of Ames for 64 years. She married Elijah Luther, who predeceased her. She was preceased by her firt husband, Seward Hawver, 1967, and one daughter, Joyce Enright, 1977. Survivors include one son, Reverand Carl E Hawver of Fort Plain, six grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
