Funeral services for Lee Melton, 74, who died Saturday Jan. 11 at his home in [were held in] Highlandville Baptist Church, with Rev. Howard Blevins and Rev. William Martin officiating. Burial was in Highlandville Cemetery under the direction of the Chaffin Funeral Home of Ozark. A native of Christian County, he was a member of the Highlandville Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Minnie Melton; two sons, Carl Lee Melton and Earl Dean Melton, both of California; six daughters, Mrs Herster Atwood of Highlandville, Mrs. Cliva Blevins, Mrs, Reda Hughes, Mrs. Lucy Slagle, Mrs. Roxie Anna Starr and Mrs. Edith West, all of California; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Stockstill of Springfield and Mrs. Bill Billingsley of California and one brother, Charley Melton of Kansas City.
