William “Billy” Edward Rogers, Jr., 56, of Summerville, SC, formerly of North Charleston, former co-owner and operator of B&D Painting, Inc., died Sunday in a Charleston hospital.
His funeral will be 3:00 PM Friday afternoon, July 15, 2016, in the Chapel of Dial-Murray Funeral Home, Moncks Corner. Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park, N. Charleston. The family will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 PM Thursday evening. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Dial-Murray Funeral Home, 300 W Main St., Moncks Corner, SC 29461, to assist with funeral expenses.
Mr. Rogers was born February 27, 1960 in Macon, Georgia, a son of William Edward Rogers, Sr., and Reba Jewel Snow Rogers. He was a graduate of Bonds Wilson High School and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. Mr. Rogers enjoyed playing golf and was a NASCAR fan, especially of Jeff Gordon. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jewel Karol Rogers Pyle.
Surviving are his wife, Delores “Lois” Jane Ives-Williams; two daughters, Crystal Jewel Rogers Rogulski and her husband Stephen of Moncks Corner and Elizabeth Marie Rogers of Summerville; two sons, Bryan Edward Rogers and Solomon Charles Rogers and his wife Mallory both of Summerville; Many step-children; two sisters, Joyce Mauldin of Kershaw and Faith Rogers Madden of North Charleston; three brothers, Dave “Doc” Rogers of West Ashley, Rob Rogers of Australia, and Daniel Vogel Rogers of Washington, DC; and an abundance of grandchildren as well as an unborn granddaughter on the way.
