...Roman Catholic Monsignor..Ordained a priest in 1901 & said first mass at Masonville IA on 27DEC1901 after graduating in the spring of 1898, from St. Joseph's College(Now Loras College), in Dubuque, IA.

He first served six years at St. Raphael's Cathedral in Dubuque IA, followed by service at Clarion IA(Church burned down), with 31 years at Holy Family in Mason City IA, & finally at St. Mary's in Corwith IA. In 1946, he became a Monsignor.

During his tenure at Holy Family in Mason City, a church and school(1926) were built. At death, masses were said in Independence and Winthrop. He is buried at St. John's Cemetery,Independence, Buchanan Co., IA.
