Reported age at time of death was 75 years, so evidently born about 1825.

Mary Jane Galer's list of persons interred in the New Cemetery area of Linwood shows: Ann ELLIS, widowed female, died aged 75 years at 209 Seventeenth Street [Columbus, Georgia] of pneumonia; buried 15 FEB 1901 in Section 1, Lot 111 1/2, by undertaker [Charlton Lafayette] TORBETT, reference local death certificate #524 - Sexton Jesse Alec BEARD; remarks: see also [Lot] 113 1/2.

This grave is probably not identifiably marked. This is the only grave reported in Section 1, Lot 111 1/2. Others reported to be in Section 1, Lot 113 1/2, include: Mrs. STROM (buried 07 SEP 1878, aged 21 years), and G. W. ELLIS (buried 07 AUG 1886, aged 34 years).

Daniel Olds' index of deaths, AUG 1890 to DEC 1918, from the Muscogee County Death Register, on file with the Muscogee County Health Department's Office of Vital Records, shows: Ann ELLIS, White female, died 14 FEB 1901, aged 75 years. [Inclusion in this database does not necessarily indicate death in Columbus or anywhere in Muscogee County. It is a list of death dates for persons buried in Columbus municipal cemeteries.]

Note also that the following have marked graves in in Dolores Autry's Section D, Lot 8: Florence (WYNN) ELLIS (d. 25 FEB 1897) and husband George Osborne ELLIS (1859-1927), who are reported to be in Section 1, Lot 112, in the Sexton's record. Mary Elizabeth (CLEMENTS) ELLIS (1829-1918) has a marked grave in Autry's D-9 and is reported in the Sexton's record to be in 1-110. (See Autry's "Historic Linwood Cemetery" book, Volume 2.)
