Barbara E. Wale ORMOND BEACH, FL - An inurnment graveside service for Barbara E. Wale, 76, of Bear Creek Community in Ormond Beach, Fla., will be held on at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009, at Mt. Rose Cemetery, 1502 Mount Rose Ave., York. A reception will follow the graveside service at Perkins Restaurant. Directions will be given after the graveside service.

Barbara E. Wale was born on July 29, 1932, in Dover, N.J., to William R. and Emma M. Chubb.

In 1990 she moved to the Ormond Beach area from Camp Hill. She retired in 1998 as a Hotel Receptionist/Switchboard operator. She was a member of White Chapel Church of God (Daytona Beach, Fla.), The Ladies of the Moose Lodge (Ormond Beach), The Ladies of The Elks Lodge (Port Orange, Fla.), Briarwood Bowling Team (Port Orange), and Bear Creek Park Winter Bowling League (Ormond Beach), from 2001-2002.

She enjoyed ceramics and decorating, especially her house.

Survivors include her beloved husband, Desmond; three sons, Stephen Morgan Erb of Halifax, Darryl Christopher Erb of Clearwater, Fla., and Ted John Erb of Lewisberry; daughter, Lori Anne Erb of Spencer, Mass.; stepdaughter, Lisa Dawn Wale-Schmidli of Villmergen, Switzerland; brother, Charles Richard Chubb of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sister, Dora Bradshaw of Blacklick, Ohio; and seven grandchildren, Amandah Erb, Matthew Erb, and Steven Erb, all of Lewisberry, Heather Erb of Chicago, Ill., and Olivia Schmidli, Florence Schmidli, and Kai Schmidli, all of Switzerland. Donations may be made in her memory to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32129.
