Charles R. Chubb, 76, of Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of York, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Conway Medical Center, S.C.
Mr. Chubb was the son of the late William R. and Emma M. Chubb, and was preceded in death by one brother and six sisters. He is survived by a wife, Margene Gregory Todd Chubb of North Myrtle Beach, S.C.; daughters, Sharon Huber of Erie and Elizabeth Chubb of York; three grandchildren, Brooks Huber of Arlington, Wis., Margaret Huber of York, and Emmalee Myers of North Carolina; eight great-grandchildren; and 18 nieces and nephews. He was a 1952 graduate of William Penn Senior High School and sold cars for Doll's Pontiac, Strausbaugh Pontiac, and Giambalvo of Red Lion. Mr. Chubb was the owner of Chubb Auto Sales in Dallastown for 16 years, was a school and tour bus driver for Red Lion Bus Company for eight years, and then Sunway Tours of S.C. He loved all sports and traveling and shared that love with his family and friends.
A memorial service is planned for a later date and interment will be at Mount Rose Cemetery.
