ACCUSED YOUTH DRINKS POISON AS POLICE APPEAR
Nashville Man Was Charged With Misappropriation of Small Sum of Money.

Nashville, Tenn,-. When arrested here to-night on a State's warrant sworn to by a local furniture company charging the misappropriation of money, Albert Carroll, 22 years old, the moment the door of the police station slammed to behind him, swallowed an mince or poison, from which he died three minutes after being rushed to the city hospital.

Carroll had been employed by the furniture company as a collector and claimed that he had used the firm's money to fight divorce proceedings recently instituted by his young wife. While the amount charged by the warrant to have been misappropriated is small, it is believed by the police that investigation may show larger sums were taken.
