Douglas – Robert “Willy” Wilson, Jr., 72, passed away peacefully at Vibra Hospital on Fri. April 7, 2017 after a long illness with his family by his side.  He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Ella C. (Currier) Wilson; his daughter Angelina Wilson of Douglas; a brother David T. Wilson of NY; a sister Theresa Greene of Dudley; best friend Robert Prunier of Douglas; and many nieces and nephews.  Born in Hartford, CT on April 9, 1944 he was the son of Robert and Angelina (Hemmingway) Wilson, Sr. and lived in Manchaug most of his life.
     Willy was a graduate of Sutton High School and worked for Interface Fabric, Guilford of Maine, and the former Hayward Schuster.  He most recently worked for the Town of Douglas Water & Sewer Dept. in Maintenance and ground keeping.
     Willy was extremely close with his family and enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughter.  He lovingly signed all his cards to his daughter “Punky”.  He enjoyed studying his family genealogy and music, especially the “oldies”.
