Mrs. Myrtie BEEBE

Died-Friday, May 1st, 1891, Mrs. Myrtie Beebe, aged 19 years, wife of John Beebe and Saturday morning following the infant child of John Beebe.

Coroner Swisher was called Saturday to hold an inquest on the remains of the wife of John D. Beebe living nine miles southeast of the city. The following jury were impanelled and taken to the scene: I. C. Spencer, Marcus Brown, T. P. Leonard, J. W. Navert, H. N. Schell and J. C. Goodrich. The evidence taken caused a verdict of "Heart failure caused by childbirth." The lady was not sick more than an hour and death followed immediately on the birth of the child. Mrs. Beebe was a Miss Knight and had not been married only about a year and was nineteen years old.

*****It is not known where this individual was buried, and there is no known tombstone. Many of the individuals buried in the smaller outlying cemeteries were moved to the Goodland cemetery in the early 1900's. This individual has been included in the Goodland cemetery for genealogical research based on the obituary.*****
