He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Mack Acklin Sr.; sister, Patricia Acklin; grandson, Douglas Acklin Jr. and great nephew, Brayden Moses.
Survivors include his mother and step-father, Ray and Murle Thompson of Cave City; son, Douglas Wayne Acklin of Cave City; sisters, Gail Moses of Birdtown and Teresa Lovell of Clinton; grandchildren, Nicholas Acklin, Mia Acklin, Gracie Acklin and Bella Acklin; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 1, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Qualls Funeral Home Chapel in Cave City with Ira Brokaw and Gene Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in the Barnes Cemetery located at Batesville.
