Melvin T. Raulston, age 77, of Bagwell, passed away Tuesday, May 02, 2017, at Regency Nursing Center. Melvin was born December 17, 1940, in Clarksville to Albert Milton and Johnnie Grant Griffin Raulston. He was a lifelong resident of Red River County and loved his family very much. Melvin frequented the local coffee shops to talk about old times and was known for his “3 taps” of the spoon after stirring his coffee. His sons, Paul and Timothy were his pride and joy. Melvin was a member of the New Haven Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, A.M., Kenneth, Morris and Jack Raulston.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Friday, May 5, 2017, at the New Haven Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. James Hinkle officiating. Burial will follow in New Haven Cemetery under the direction of Clarksville Funeral Home.

Pallbearers are Steve Raulston, Matt Raulston, Brandon Raulston, Mitchell Raulston, Rocky Raulston and Jason Dotson.

Honorary Pallbearers are James Raulston, Gary Raulston and J.C. Dotson.
