Nolia Fontenot Boudreaux, a daughter of Leo Doss and Anna F. (LeDe) Fontenot was born in Louisiana and moved with her family to Texas in 1916.

The family eventually settled in the Cheek area. Her parents were rice farmers and ranchers in Cheek and Seabreeze, Texas. They actively participated in the community through their involvement with Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, the NAACP, and their sponsorship of area rodeos.

Nolia graduated from Charlton Pollard High School and attended Prairie View A & M College. She was an educator with more than forty years of service in the Cheek and Fannett communities. Following her father's death, she became involved in operating the family farm and ranch, a job she held until her death.

She was first married to Moses Thomas. After this marriage ended, she married Ivan Boudreaux. Both preceded her in death.

Nolia leaves to mourn her passing, two sisters; four children; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
