MOORE
JoAnn Imes, age 68, met our Heavenly Father on May 2nd, 2017 while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Duncan, OK on October 29th, 1948 to Albert Conley and Mahotah Blackerby Conley.

JoAnn graduated from Moore High School in 1966 and earned Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1980 through Louisiana Baptist University. She taught school for several years at Moore Christian Academy. After that, she held several other positions including bookkeeping for many years at International Environmental (IEC). When her estranged yet ailing father needed full time care, she selflessly left her job with IEC and came to his aid until he died. This was a true demonstration of her kindness and great capacity for forgiveness. Shortly thereafter, she was forced into early retirement due to progressive health issues. Most importantly, she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Like her mother, she possessed a steadfast resolve to provide for her family regardless of the personal sacrifice required.

JoAnn was preceded in death by her parents and son, Jonathan Imes.

She is survived by her faithful husband of nearly 48 years, Allen Imes; brother, James Conley; daughters, Catherine Imes, Sarah Williams and husband James, & Rachel Henderson; grandchildren, Jordan Henderson and wife Amber, Brandon Dufner, Brittney Henderson, Julie Dufner, Isaac Henderson; great granddaughter, Violet Henderson and a large extended family.

There will be a memorial service on Sat. May 13, 2017 at 12:00 PM at the New Covenant Bible Church 4230 S. Youngs Blvd. in OKC. Arrangements are under the direction of John Ireland Funeral Home.
