Sister of Barbara (Dan) Bruce, the late Richard (Louise) Sepanik, and the late Patricia (Dan) Tamminga. Bernadette retired in 2008 after 20 years with the Wayne County Health Department. She worked as an interior design consultant with Home Interiors for 17 years.
