Brett believed in Kharma and dealing with issues and learning from them. He liked to look for the good in people. He had a deep passion, loyalty and love for his friends and family and there wasn't anything he would refuse them. On the 27th January 2007 Brett was out having a drink with the man who later that night, violently took his life.Brett was A loving father of 4 children.[Brett, Shannon, Jesse and Dannee ] He was the loving son of Molly and Jack (both deceased), much loved brother of Robert, Geoff, Sue, Jon and Lisa and fond uncle to his nieces and nephews.

Brett was good at every thing he tried, he was just one of those people. He could ride a skateboard on his hands up the street. Brett was called "twinkle toes" by everyone in the soccer circuit, he made it to the State team and coaches were always trying to get him to sign up with them. He loved riding motor bikes and he was a wonderful gardener and landscaper and spent many years as a brickies labourer. Brett took an interest in calligraphy and could write and draw in any style and was a very spiritual person.

"When I come to the end of the road and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom filled room, why cry for a soul set free"

"Miss me a little, but not for too long and not with your head bowed low, remember the love that we once shared, miss me, but let me go"

"For this is a journey that we must all take and each must go alone, It's all part of the master's plan, a step on the road to home"

"When you are lonely and sick of heart, go to the friends we know, and bury your sorrows in doing good deeds, Miss me, but let me go"

Brett's murderer was sentenced today to a lousy 5 years and 9 months with 17 months probation, although with time already served he will be released in 2012. Our justice system is disgusting, wrong and pathetic. Our Government should be totally ashamed of themselves.
