He was the husband of the former Maryanna "Mary" Cywinski (c1864-1937, daughter of Wawrzyniec and Jozefa [nee Switala] Cywinski), whom he wed in 1881, prior to their 1884 emigration from Poland. The couple, with their eldest child, settled permanently in Baltimore City, where their ship disembarked in America.
