Adell C. Brand, 88, a kind and gentle woman who always thought of others first, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2006, at her home.
Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at John Knox Presbyterian Church. Burial: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: The family will receive friends at the home Tuesday.

Memorials: You may honor her memory with a donation to a charity of choice.

Mrs. Brand was born in Grand Island, Neb., where she was married to Harry B. Brand on May 15, 1945. They moved to the Fort Worth area in 1948. She was a supervisor with Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. for a number of years and a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church since 1954. Mr. and Mrs. Brand were active supporters of Castleberry High School Band Boosters Club for over 15 years.

Adell was preceded in death by her husband and a son, James A. Brand.

Survivors: Daughters, Natalie Brand Murray, M.D., of Fort Worth, Patricia Brand of Austin and Dulcie Brand of Hollywood, Calif.; grandsons, Lawrence Murray of Fort Worth, Owen Murray of Stafford and James M. Brand of Austin; great-granddaughter, Adell Murray of Stafford; and daughter-in-law, Ramona Brand Tinsley.
