Mrs. Ethuwtn Strobridge, 80, died Thursday June 1, 2000, in Fletcher Allen following a brief illness, she was born in St. Johnsbury, on January 2, 1920, the daughter of Alonzo and Ida (Dewey) Bean.

Mrs. Strobridge was a graduate of St.Johnsbury Academy and Ellie's Academy of Beauty in Burlington. She had been a Beautician, working out of her home in Burlington, and had done beauty work at Birchwood Terrace Nursing Home. She retired in March. She was a member of the Girl Scout Council of America.

Mrs. Strobridge is survived by seven children; Lydia Douglas of Westford, Gail Roy and her husband David of Westford, John Strobridge and his wife Gloria of Lebanon, N.J.; Marsha Wood and her husband Charles, Karen Stockwell and her husband Harland of Richmond; Richard Strobridge of Burlington; and Robin Strobridge of Burlington; 10 grand-children; Christopher M. Perry, Michelle L. Martin, Lisa E. and David A Roy; Joann M. Stockwel and Robert A. Stockwell; Shelly L. and Danielle M. Strobridge; Chad W. and Cory R. Strobridge,
and a great-great-daughter; Lydia M. Martin; one sister Doreen Drew.

A committal service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday June 5, 2000 in West Barnet Cemetery in West Barnet, Vermont.
