Mr. and Mrs. John Bentz, jr., of Remsen Mourn the Death of Children
The John Bentz jr family mourn the loss of their infant daughter and sister, Darlene, 14 months old, who was taken sick on Christmas day, with diphtheria, and passed away in the Sacred Heart hospital, LeMars, Sunday evening.
After three days during which all efforts to relieve her proved no avail, the little child was taken to the hospital Sunday morning, but her condition was such that the best of treatment was of no avail. She passed away at 9:45 o’clock Sunday evening. The funeral was held Monday afternoon with burial in St. Mary’s cemetery.
John Bentz, father of the deceased child, is a son of Mr. and [fixed order] Mrs. Nick Bentz sr., who formerly resided on South Main street, but are now residents of LeMars.
