Adolphus Aikin died at his home, near Lockport, Wednesday, May 22nd and was
buried last Saturday. Mr. Aikins boyhood days were spent at Oatka, and he was
the son of the late DeWitt and Polly Bush Aikin. He was a half brother of Mrs.
Gilbert Main of Oatka. Mr. Aikin was 63 years of age, and left Oatka about 36
years ago. For several years he lived West, but had been at Lockport the past
six years.

Adolphus Aikin died at his home near Lockport Wednesday, May 23, aged 63 years.
He was the son of Dewitt and Polly Bush Aikin, former residents of this place.
Mr. Aiken was a graduate of the Warsaw school also of Hillside College, Mich.
After teaching several terms he married Miss Jennie ONeal of Indiana and for
several years they lived in Nebraska. About ten years ago they moved on to a
farm near Lockport where he spent his last days. Mr. Aikin was an honest,
upright christian. He leaves a wife and six children two brothers and two
sisters, besides a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn their loss.
