Myrth Monson Hamilton 1925 ~ 2007 An amazing, wonderful woman left this world on Sunday, April 17, 2007 to rejoin her beloved husband; two sons and other loved ones. She died as she lived, full of love with peace in her heart. Helen Marian Myrth Monson Hamilton was born January 5, 1925 to John LaVar and Julia Clinger Monson. A miracle baby, Myrth was born at home in Salt Lake City, Utah three months premature weighting 2 lbs. 4 oz. Her life was full of health miracles. Ever optimistic, Myrth faced each hurdle with dignity and patience believing she would overcome each one. She graduated from East High School in 1942 and attended the University of Utah. On April 20, 1944, she married Harvey James Hamilton in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Myrth is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Henry) Kesler, Holladay, Utah; son, Michael (Rochelle), Manassas, Virginia, 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; and brother Keith (Sue) Monson, Redding, California. She is preceded in death by her husband, Jim (1997), and sons, Jim (2006) and Doug (1968). Our sincere gratitude goes to Drs. John Stanchfield, David Gubler, and James Pingree for their kind, patient care of our mother. We also appreciate the tender, loving care Myrth received from the staff at St. Mark's Hospital and CareSource. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, April 23, 2007 in the Highland View Ward Chapel, 2980 South 2790 East, Salt Lake City. Family and friends may call Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive and on Monday from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. at the chapel. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, mom requested donations be made to the Perpetual Education Fund of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
