Julia Clinger Monson, 85, died July 3, 1986 in Salt Lake.

Born Nov. 12, 1900, Lakeview, Utah to Marion and Rebecca Dorius Clinger. Married J.L. Monson April 8, 1920, Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died Nov. 29, 1981.

Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister. Loved her family above all. Had many friends and touched many lives through he generosity, sweet spirit and kindness.

Active member LDS Church until ill health confined her to home. Held many auxiliary positions in the church as well as serving a stake mission with her husband. As a descendant of the pioneers, she was an active member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.

Julia, with her husband, owned and operated the Monson Nursing Home in Salt Lake for many years. Special, tender care was always given to her patients.

Survived by two sons, daughter, Wendell L. Monson, Mrs. James (Myrth) Hamilton, both Salt Lake, Keith C. Monson, Redding, Calf., 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, two brothers, sister, Dr. Wallace M Clinger, Phillip R Clinger, Hazel C Segerstedt, all Salt Lake, many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by two grandsons.

Funeral service Tuesday, noon, Yale 1st LDS Ward, 1431 Gilmer Dr. Interment, Wasatch Lawn Cemetery.
