Bartlett, who was a private, served along with his father, Ensign William Asher, during the Revolutionary War in Gen. G.R. Clark's Illinois Regiment from Virginia and received a pension for his service. His son, Levi Asher is my 4th gr-grandfather.

His burial info was recorded from the book " ABSTRACTS OF GRAVES OF REVOLUTIONARY PATRIOTS " VOL 1 A-D, by Patricia Law Hatcher. The Goss cem. is located on the Eugene Black farm, section 20, Wayne TWP, Owen co., Indiana.
