Once owned a black Chevrolet Impala SS409, one of the very first muscle cars. A gifted bowler, played the sport at such a high level, he considered turning pro. Also, a talented shortstop in baseball. Although not a musician himself, Al had a deep appreciation for music, promoting concerts in San Francisco, including the duo Delaney & Bonnie.
