Ann C. Pollock, age 77, a longtime Manitowoc resident, died Friday, May 26, 2017 at Lasata Care Center in Cedarburg.She was born on June 3, 1939 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Frank and Irene (Gallagher) Augustine. Ann was a graduate of St. Gregory's High School in St. Nazianz. She then went on to receive an associate degree in nursing from Lakeshore Technical College. On June 18, 1960 she married David Pollock at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2004. Ann was a sweet, beautiful lady who was greatly loved by all who knew her. She spent her life helping others, first as a nurse's aid at the Manitowoc Health Care Center followed by years as an aid for children with special needs in the Manitowoc Public School District. She was also a 30 year friend of Bill W, and a caring friend and mentor to many. Ann devoted her life to her many passions including her Irish Catholic heritage, close knit family, life long friends in Manitowoc, golfing and traveling. Her greatest joys of all were her husband, Dave, her children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, in-laws and cousins. Ann loved this simple poem entitled "Footprints" where it reads "The Lord replied, My precious, precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."Survivors include two daughters and one son-in-law: Amy and Mark Nelson, Cedarburg, Catherine Breiling, St. Augustine, FL; one son and daughter-in-law: Steven and Susan Pollock, Concord, MA; seven grandchildren: Nik, Maggy, Sarah, Jack, Sean, David and Caroline; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Nancy and Richard Neumeyer, St. Nazianz, Rita and George Pautz, New Holstein; four brothers and sisters-in-law: Gerald and Mary Augustine, St. Nazianz, Charles and Sandra Augustine, St. Nazianz, Eugene and Janet Augustine, Newton, Michael and Karen Augustine, Manitowoc; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Thomas and Patricia Pollock, Green Bay, Michael and Christine Pollock, San Francisco, CA. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Ann was also preceded in death by three brothers: Thomas Augustine, Daniel Augustine, and William Augustine; one sister: Mary Augustine.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church, St. Nazianz. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Patrick Nelson S.D.S. Cremation will follow at All Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and Ann's cremated remains will be laid to rest at a later date with her husband David.
