She was the widower of the late John Luther Hamm, married for 57 years. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church. She was a good and hard working woman who loved her church.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son John William Hamm; brothers, Robert Floyd Caveny, Luther "Luke" Caveny, Harlen Caveny and Roy Hamm; sisters, Velma Bolin and Lillian Spearman.
She is survived by her son, Lawrence Richard Hamm and wife, Susan, of Kings Mountain; daughter, Peggy H. Alexander of Dallas; daughters-in-law, Charlotte Hamm of Kings Mountain and Josiane Hamm of Cherokee; sisters, Letha Sheppard of Blacksburg, S.C., and Evelyn Graham of Kings Mountain; brother, Marvin "Pete" Caveny of Kings Mountain; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
