Daughter of Samuel Conklin Hawkins and Jerusha Ann Rogers, wife of Oscar Ketcham, whom she married on June 25, 1882 in Sayville, NY, and mother of Maud E., and Edward Lewis Ketcham.

Obituary - Mrs. Alice Ketcham, aged 82, a former Suffolk county school teacher, died October 13 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maud Velsor of Oakland avenue, Bay Shore. Born in Brookhaven, Mrs. Ketcham taught school in Sayville, Ronkonkoma and
Amityville. She was the widow of Oscar Ketcham, who died in 1931. Besides her daughter, she leaves a son, Elmer Ketcham; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Also - Mrs. Alice Ketcham, aged 82, member of an old Long Island family, died on October 13th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Velsor, in Bay Shore, after a long illness. Born in Brookhaven, a daughter of Samuel and Jerusha Rogers Hawkins, Mrs. Ketcham taught school in Sayville, Lakeland and Amityville. Surviving, besides her daughter, is a son, Elmer Ketcham; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
