Helen Murafski (nee Deliman), 105; of Perth Amboy passed away peacefully on June 8, 2017. She celebrated her 105 birthday this past May. She had a wonderful life traveling all over Europe and the United States seeing the world. She enjoyed singing and dancing wherever she went.
Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband, Martin Frances Murafski, her mother Anna Deliman, her father George Deliman and her two brothers and four sisters. She is survived by her niece Dorothy Markulin, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Helen worked as a seamstress in shirt factories for 53 years. She was a member of St. John's Orthodox Church in Perth Amboy all her life. She was a member of St. John's Social Club, St. John's Senior Citizens Club, St. John's Altar Society, Al Jankowski Senior Citizens Club, Raritan Valley Hospital Auxiliary, Raritan Valley Hospice, Raritan Valley Hanson Division, Committee Women in Perth Amboy, 5th Ward District for 36 Years. Helen was very active in all Perth Amboy affairs.
We will begin to leave at the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy, NJ for a Funeral Service at St. Johns Orthodox Church, 145 Broad St, Perth Amboy, NJ. Interment will follow at St. John's the Baptist Orthodox Cemetery.
